Who We Are:

Alaskan Malamute Rescue of New Mexico, Inc. is a volunteer organization working to find new homes for Malamutes in New Mexico.   We are a federal tax exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

Our dogs come from many places; strays, animal services, and changing home situations. Although Malamutes are wonderful dogs, their large size and independent nature make them not the breed for everyone!

It's hard to believe so many beautiful Malamutes
are left without homes each year.

Help us save a life.
If you are looking to ADOPT a Malamute, please CALL our rescue. We often have dogs or know of dogs not on the web site.  If you need to FIND A HOME FOR YOUR DOG, please call our rescue and please send a complete email to Alaskan Malamute Rescue of NM describing the dog who needs a new home and include pictures. We will be happy to check our list of potential adopters and see if there is a match for your dog. We can also put his/her the information up on the site and help them find a new home.
If you are interested in learning more about any of these dogs or about how you can help, please call Alaskan Malamute Rescue of New Mexico at 575-644-7094 or email Alaskan Malamute Rescue of NM.

In the past 3 weeks we have helped Siberian Husky Rescue of NM remove 8 huskies from a high-kill shelter.  All the females required spay surgery and all but one of the males had to be neutered.  In addition, one male needed eye surgery to repair a tear caused by an aggressive dog he was kenneled with in the shelter and one of the females had complications with her surgery.  Several of them had worms and/or giardia.

We are in desperate need of donations to help with all these expenses.

Please help us replenish our rescue accounts so we can continue to help dogs in need in New Mexico.  Donations can be mailed to
PO Box 2,
White Sands NM 88002

or via Pay Pal.
